On March 15, 2025, Changzhou Huiya Decorative Materials Co., Ltd. officially received the KS certification certificate issued by KSA. Its two major product categories: GRC Raised Access Floor (Model GRC800) and All-Steel Anti-Static Access Floor (Model SCL1000), simultaneously obtained compliance qualifications for export to South Korea. This milestone marks Huiya as one of the few Chinese raised access floor manufacturers to pass this certification with two product categories at once, representing a solid step forward on its path toward internationalization.
Why Did Huiya Raised Access Floors Apply for KSA KS F 4760 Certification?
In South Korea, raised access floors for construction use are classified as mandatory certification products. They must pass the specialized certification conducted by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) in accordance with the KS F 4760 standard before they can be sold or used in the Korean market. KS F 4760 is the national standard for raised access floors formulated by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy under the Industrial Standardization Act, with KSA responsible for review and certification issuance. In South Korea, when data centers, telecommunications rooms, public office buildings, and similar facilities procure raised access floors, tender documents universally list KS F 4760 certification as a mandatory entry requirement – products without this certification cannot be included in the bidding list. Therefore, raised access floor products that have not obtained this certification cannot clear Korean customs, nor can they be included in the supplier directories for Korean government procurement or major infrastructure projects. In other words, KS F 4760 certification is the “passport” for Chinese raised access floor companies to export to South Korea. Without it, products simply cannot enter the Korean market. The standard sets explicit quantitative thresholds for concentrated load capacity, uniformly distributed load capacity, deflection, fire rating, anti-static performance, surface wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of metal components, while also requiring manufacturers’ production management systems to pass factory inspections. For Huiya, KS F 4760 certification was the prerequisite for opening the door to the Korean market — without this certificate, no matter how good the product quality, it could not be written into Korean project procurement contracts. This real-world demand directly drove Huiya to initiate the entire certification project, and our two main products passed KSA certification on the first attempt!

I. Korean Certification Officials Visit Huiya: Comprehensive Quality Audit Begins
On February 24, 2025, KSA certification auditors Yoo Il-sun and Lee Woo-jong traveled from South Korea to Changzhou specifically to conduct an on-site quality audit of Changzhou Huiya Decorative Materials Co., Ltd. Company Chairman Gu Yongming, General Manager Gu Xuxiang, Production Manager Chen Wei, and Quality Control Supervisor Chai Lin received the audit team throughout the entire process, ensuring every audit phase proceeded efficiently and transparently.
It is worth noting that Production Manager Chen Wei had already completed the Quality Management Officer Training Course (Course No. 2023-0011388K) organized by KSA’s Quality Management Central Promotion Division back in 2023, systematically studying the core requirements of the Korean quality management system. This forward-looking talent development laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of this audit.

During the document review phase in the conference room, the audit team systematically examined all of Huiya’s raw material inspection records, production process documentation, in-process inspection reports, and finished product testing files in the company’s third-floor conference room. The two experts paid particular attention to the core quality indicators involved in Korean market access for raised access floors, repeatedly emphasizing that all production processes must strictly align with the parameter requirements of the KS F 4760 Korean national standard.
II. Into the Testing Workshop: Hands-On Verification of Core Raised Floor Performance
After the document review, the audit team proceeded to Huiya’s product testing laboratory to conduct on-site performance verification of the GRC raised access floors and all-steel network floors. Huiya’s testing workshop is equipped with multiple professional instruments, including a dimensional inspection platform, load-bearing test machines, and salt spray corrosion test chambers, covering the major performance testing items for raised access floors.
The on-site testing focused on three key areas:
1. Dimensional Accuracy Measurement
The audit team used the dimensional inspection platform to measure the length, width, thickness, and diagonal dimensions of raised floor samples one by one, ensuring each panel met the tolerance range specified by the KS F 4760 standard. Dimensional accuracy directly relates to the joining effect and overall flatness of raised access floors during actual installation and is a fundamental testing item in the Korean standard.

2. Load-Bearing Capacity Testing
In the load-bearing test area, the audit team performed both concentrated load and uniformly distributed load tests on floor samples, simulating high-load environments in real-use scenarios to evaluate the structural strength and deformation of the floors. During testing, the auditors personally operated the equipment and recorded data to ensure every test result was authentic and traceable.

3. Salt Spray Corrosion Testing
In the salt spray testing area, the audit team verified the durability and corrosion resistance of raised access floor components in humid, salt-laden environments. Huiya’s laboratory is equipped with a salt spray corrosion test chamber capable of simulating harsh coastal climate conditions, subjecting the floor surface treatment processes and metal support components to extended endurance testing.

After all on-site tests were completed, Yoo Il-sun and Lee Woo-jong used permanent markers to sign and confirm each raised access floor sample destined for Korea. These auditor-sealed samples were subsequently shipped to a designated testing laboratory in South Korea for final third-party certification testing.
III. KSA KS F 4760 Certification – The Statutory Market Access Threshold for South Korea
Within the Korean building regulatory framework, the KS certification system is led by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) and serves as the government’s mandatory management mechanism for products related to building safety. Specifically, the KS F 4760 standard targets raised access floors for construction use, with certification covering the following key indicators:
- Load-bearing capacity: The floor’s load-bearing capability and deflection under concentrated and uniformly distributed loads
- Fire performance: Material combustion rating and fire resistance
- Electrostatic dissipation performance: Whether the floor’s system resistance meets anti-static requirements
- Dimensional stability: Consistency of product dimensional tolerances
- Corrosion resistance: Anti-corrosion capability of metal components and surface coatings
This certification is the entry threshold for raised access floor selection in Korean government procurement projects, large-scale data centers, telecommunications base stations, office buildings, and other infrastructure projects. Products without KS certification are not only barred from the Korean market but are intercepted at customs.
IV. Two Core Huiya Products Obtain Export Qualification for South Korea
The two Huiya raised access floor products that passed KS F 4760 certification target different application scenarios and each possess distinct technical characteristics:
▶ GRC Raised Access Floor
Our GRC (Glassfiber Reinforced Cement) raised access floor uses glass fiber reinforced cement as its base material, a cement-based composite floor product. It combines high structural strength with excellent fire performance, while being relatively lighter than all-steel floors, making it more convenient for transportation and installation. HUIYA GRC800 raised access floor also known as the professional OA floor, is suitable for data centers, smart office buildings, precision instrument rooms, and other facilities with high requirements for fire rating and environmental cleanliness.

▶ All-Steel Anti-Static Raised Access Floor
The SCL1000 all-steel raised floor is formed from premium steel plate through stamping and welding processes, filled internally with foamed cement, and topped with an anti-static HPL laminate surface. The product achieves a load-bearing capacity exceeding 600kg/m² and provides excellent electrostatic dissipation capability, effectively protecting precision electronic equipment. The SCL1000 is suitable for large-scale data center machine rooms, telecommunications command centers, power dispatch rooms, and other projects with strict requirements for load-bearing capacity and anti-static performance.
