3. Installation Process

The installation was completed by the HUIYA installation team from August 11 to August 12, 2026, covering 250 ㎡ of raised access flooring within just two days.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation

Before entering the site, the office was in the final decoration stage — the original concrete slab had been leveled, walls painted, and high-voltage, low-voltage, and fire protection conduits routed along walls and floors, leaving sufficient space for underfloor cabling under the raised access floor system.

2. Pedestal Positioning & Bonding to Concrete Slab

The stability of a raised access floor system fundamentally depends on the bonding strength between the pedestals and the concrete substrate. This project used the Japan-imported Konishi KU928C-X one-component moisture-curing polyurethane resin adhesive to firmly bond the CSL1000 pedestal bases to the concrete slab.

  • One-component moisture-curing polyurethane formula: No mixing required; after curing, forms an adhesive layer combining strong bonding force and elastic cushioning — avoiding the cracking issues typical of rigid bonding;
  • Excellent water, moisture, and aging resistance: Maintains long-term bonding strength even in Suzhou’s humid climate;
  • Elastic adhesive layer absorbs micro-vibrations: Combined with the eco-friendly rubber base pad, delivers dual noise reduction and shock absorption;
  • F☆☆☆☆ (Japan’s highest environmental grade): Low VOC emissions, ensuring indoor air quality and meeting Sartorius’ ESG environmental standards;
  • Compatible with concrete, underfloor heating, and various substrates, providing a reliable “rooting point” for the entire raised access floor system.

During installation, KU928C-X adhesive was evenly applied to each pedestal base, positioned on grid points via laser leveling, and left to cure, forming a solid foundation for the entire system.

3. Cable Routing & Stringer System Assembly

The CSL1000 pedestal system adopts a “well-grid” structure of galvanized steel columns + galvanized stringers, secured with screws to form a rigid integrated grid. The pedestal base is also equipped with HUIYA eco-friendly rubber pads, which combined with the KU928C-X adhesive layer further isolate metal-to-slab contact, delivering triple functions of shock absorption, noise reduction, and floor protection.

4. CSL1000 Panel Installation

After the pedestal and stringer grid was completed, CSL1000 gray HPL panels were laid piece by piece from the baseline, using seamless butt-joint techniques. Panel joints were tight and uniform, and overall flatness was controlled within ±1 mm.

5. Panel Node Details

The complete CSL1000 structural layers are clearly visible:

  • Bottom layer: Adjustable galvanized steel pedestal + eco-friendly rubber base pad + KU928C-X adhesive layer + original concrete slab.
  • Top layer: Gray HPL high-pressure laminate + calcium sulphate core + PVC black edging;
  • Middle layer: Galvanized stringers secured via cross-head clips at the pedestal top;

6. Cable Layer & Installation Progress

The raised floor cavity is approximately 150–200 mm high, systematically housing galvanized conduits for high-voltage power, CAT6 network cable bundles (blue in image), and temporary power connections, implementing an efficient “floor-as-cable-tray” solution that lays the foundation for future IT expansion and flexible workstation layouts for Sartorius.

After 2 days of high-efficiency installation, the 250 ㎡ CSL1000 calcium sulphate anti-static raised access floor system was fully completed, with all acceptance metrics meeting design requirements:

Pedestal bonding strength: Konishi KU928C-X adhesive fully cured; no pedestal loosening or displacement
Panel flatness: Diagonal deviation ≤ 1 mm
Panel joint uniformity: ≤ 0.3 mm, consistent joints
